What makes the IR-00MBDB so great?

The IR MultiBallast DB Series solar panel racking system is a low profile alternative to our standard MultiBallast system, offering many of the same great benefits, with greater versatility for roof mounting at a lower cost. This modular system is capable of mounting any size solar panel on almost any roof surface, using SikaFlex 1A Polyurethane Adhesive (sold separately) or it can be ballasted using standard CMU blocks (select configurations). With only 4 main components, the MultiBallast DB Series can be assembled in multiple configurations from 0° flat, 5° North/South, or even 5° East/West 'W' orientation. Our patent pending integral Wind Spoiler blocks uplift and creates downforce, and one can be used for each solar panel (5° North/South only).

The MultiBallast DB Series is sold in per-solar-panel kits, with each kit including two mounts and all necessary hardware. You will need one kit per solar panel installed, plus one kit to start each row.

Rooftop foot brackets are excluded from the bonding pathway for UL 2703. DynoBond bonding jumpers are all that is required to fully comply with the UL 2703 electrical bonding requirements for our rail-less solar panel mounting systems.

This product conforms to UL 2703 Mechanical and Bonding requirements

Multiple US and international patents pending

All of IntegraRack products are rigorously  tested by DiversiTech, and then rigorously tested again by Phoenix National Laboratories for material stress testing, simulated wind load testing, and simulated snow load testing. Wind tunnel testing for uplift, drag and rack frame stress was also witnessed by Phoenix National Laboratories, along with aeronautical engineers at the University of Washington. Phoenix National Laboratories is Internationally accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, or PJLA.

Easy Install

1. Install the rubber grip strips

2. Place the first row of mounts

3. Set the solar panels in place

4. Mount the solar panels

5. Lift up each mount and apply the adhesive

6. Repeat until all rows are installed

Included In Each Kit

IR-00MBDB MultiBallast™ DB Series Kit

- (2) Aluminum DB Series Base Mounts w/ H Module Mounting Brackets

- (2) Full-Length Rubber Grip Strips

- (4) IR-F2 Solar Module Flange Clamp Bonding Brackets

IR-F2 Flange Clamp Bonding Brackets

No mid clamps, end clamps, or bonding jumpers are required, as the IR-F2 accomplishes all three tasks without the need for rails.

While the MultiBallast DB Series mounts provide electrical bonding between the solar panels in the row, we offer the 8" IR-B1 Bonding Jumper for electrical bonding from one row to the next. If UL 2703 compliance is required for your install, we also offer the 12" IR-B1 Bonding Jumper for additional electrical bonding between each solar panel in the row. These DynoBond™ Bonding Jumpers from DynoRaxx® are a UL 2703 recognized electrical bonding device, with small internal barbs that bite into the bottom inner flange of the solar panel to create the bonding path. Bonding Jumpers will be required in between each solar panel and each row if UL 2703 compliance is required for your installation. Find out more

  • 20-40% Better Energy Production On Cloudy Days VS High Angle South Facing Arrays

Where To Buy

The IntegraRack IR-05MBDB MultiBallast DB Series product is another innovative solar panel mounting system that is specifically designed for flat roofs and patio type installations. This unique system completely eliminates the use of solar panel rails, and this system does not require any roof penetrations at all. Its simple design enables lightning-fast installation, and the entire system can be either ballasted with standard 4x8x16” CMU blocks, or with SikaFlex 1A industrial strength adhesive alone. The 5-degree sun angle optimize energy production and water shedding for the solar panels.

The IR-05MBDB series product provides solar equipment installers significantly greater freedom of solar panel array layout and design, and the solar equipment suppliers can benefit from the extremely simple and streamlined inventory requirements of our one kit per solar panel packaging solution. With no roof penetrations, and the drastically reduced installation complexity of this system, solar panel racking has never been faster, or at a lower cost. IntegraRack products are rigorously tested and engineered to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions. All of our products are backed by a full 25 year warranty.
